COURSE OVERVIEW
High quality management & leadership skills contribute immensely to the improved effectiveness of organisations. However, organisations in both the public and private sectors are facing changes driven by political, economic, sociological, technological, legal and environmental issues. In order to successfully meet these challenges, organisations need to ensure that their managers and leaders at all levels have a comprehensive understanding of their roles, goals and required competencies.
This training course is designed to meet the demands of current and future leaders. Delegates will be given the opportunity to examine their personal style of management and team leadership through a variety of self-evaluation models, tools and profiling instruments. We will uncover the building blocks to mastering world-class management and leadership capability, whilst exploring the factors which contribute to making a truly high performing team.
In this training course, participants will learn the fundamentals of the Co-Active Coaching and Mentoring along with GROW and SAID models. They will learn the difference between coaching, mentoring, advising, training and facilitating and will be able to coach and mentor using questioning and laser-listening. This course explains the practical techniques, benefits, and value of successful business and life coaching.
The 10-day International Management Programme consists of two modules which can be taken as a 10 Day Training course, or as individual, 5 Day courses
Module 1 – Mastering Strategic Management Skills
Module 2 – Coaching & Mentoring- Enhancing Productivity, Engagement and Innovation
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The 10-day International Management Programme is based on accomplishing the following objectives:
- Describe the key differences between ‘Management’ and ‘Leadership’
- Develop a personal strategy to get the most of people through more appropriate delegation of tasks and control of team behaviours
- Define in an open and safe environment their personal strengths and allowable weaknesses
- Identify behavioural preferences, through the completion of various interpersonal questionnaires and profiling tools.
- Explore methods and strategies that will enhance aspects of and capitalise on their personality and charisma
- Express competence in dealing with a wide variety of challenging people
- Recognise the complex process of communication in order to achieve both personal and company goals
- Produce a ‘competency based action plan’ highlighting the key area’s for future success, with time lines and a criteria for measurement
- Learn strong, professional coaching skills including:

- The Power of the ABC’s of Coaching
- How to champion, guide, navigate, motivate, hold accountable the “coachee” and what the difference is between championing, guiding, etc.
- The 3 levels of Co-Active Listening
- What Coaching is and Isn’t
- How to recognize a Coaching Agenda and Set Up Coaching Sessions
- The Power of Geography and Where to Coach

TARGET AUDIENCE
The 10-day International Management Programme is suitable for a wide range of audience, especially:

- Managers where implementing coaching and mentoring competencies are required to cultivate performance and talent at each hierarchical level
TRAINING METHODOLOGY
Our highly practical experiential learning method is results-oriented; based on an adult learning concept. Designed as an intensive training, and knowledge sharing exercise, where group work and role play facilitates learning. Through a set of lectures and practice exercises, delegates will be introduced to the advanced knowledge of Management Development. Participants will learn by active participation, discussions, video materials. Practical cases and examples illustrate the variety of current practices and build management capabilities for delegates.
Pre & Post course assessments will be used to measure the effectiveness of this training and measure the skill and ability of participants.
