Critical Incident Protocol: Crisis Management and Response

Offshore installations and vessels operate in demanding environments where hazardous energy, marine movement, weather, simultaneous activities and limited emergency access can increase operational risk. Effective HSE familiarization enables personnel to recognise these hazards, follow safe systems of work and respond correctly when conditions change. It also reinforces compliance with maritime and offshore requirements, protects people and assets, prevents pollution and supports a consistent safety culture across vessel crews, offshore teams, contractors and shore-based support functions.

This course provides participants with an advanced, practical understanding of HSE controls used in offshore and vessel operations. Participants will learn to assess risk, apply permit-to-work and energy-isolation requirements, manage high-risk activities and contribute to effective emergency response.
