COURSE OVERVIEW

The offshore oil and gas industry faces many challenges such as harsh environment, installation and cost. The majority of offshore platforms around the world is fixed offshore structures. Good knowledge and competency of the offshore project team members throughout the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning phased is crucial to the successful execution of these projects.

The objective of Offshore Platforms training course is to provide delegates with comprehensive information about offshore engineering. The participants from all disciplines will have a better understanding of different types of offshore platforms and how fixed offshore platforms are designed, fabricated, installed and commissioned.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this Offshore Platforms training course, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand how offshore oil and gas field is developed & different types of offshore platforms
  • Learn about the basics of offshore engineering and project management
  • Understand the complexities of Offshore activities through all project phases including design, fabrication, installation and commissioning
  • Understand fabrication, erection, loadout and other yard activities
  • Fully understand the jacket structure and topsides installation techniques
  • Understand different types of subsea pipeline installation
  • Learn about the hook-up and commissioning activities

TARGET AUDIENCE

The Offshore Platforms training course is beneficial to:

  • All employees who need to improve their skills in offshore oil and gas industry
  • Various discipline engineers
  • Managers and executives who are new to the offshore oil and gas industry
  • Professionals responsible for developing offshore strategy and defining organisational objectives
