Large capital projects require substantial and risky investments in the acquisition, operation and maintenance of new organizational assets. To safeguard the organization’s investment and to protect it from potential financial and operational risks, it is vital to engage in a systematic and comprehensive project appraisal process prior to the investment, and to develop a detailed cash-flow analysis to determine the expected returns to the organization under varying conditions of uncertainty over the expected productive life of the project.

This includes the development of a sound, realistic, and carefully structured financing plan, reflecting both the initial capital expenditures required for the acquisition of the asset, as well as the operational expenditures required for the successful operation and maintenance of the asset over its anticipated productive life.

This 5-day training programme will enable delegates to perform detailed and comprehensive appraisals of capital projects, protect the investment of the organization, understand and apply the principles and methods of engineering economics, financial management, cash flow analysis and risk management

The Project Appraisal: Financial & Economic Factors training course is designed for:
